Tricia Phillip-Magee

Dr. Magee is a Certified Educator with over 27 years of progressive experience in education. Specializing in special education and leadership, she is the owner of Achieve Educational Consulting and has presented at numerous conferences and seminars. During her tenure at Orange County Public Schools, Dr. Magee served as a special education teacher, special education coordinator, and district administrator.

She currently holds the position of Director of Exceptional Student Education for Orange County Public Schools. In this role, she oversees Section 504, special education services for students in charter and private schools, and supports the dispute resolution team for the school district. As the director of the special education department, Dr. Magee supervises 60+ staff members, including school psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, language diagnosticians, and teachers. She successfully manages a budget of approximately $3 million and ensures the needs of 40,000 students are met, with services delivered in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines. Additionally, she develops workshops for teachers, parents, and administrators. As the CEO of Achieve Educational Consulting, Dr. Magee provides consulting and professional development to private schools, charter schools, and other organizations.

She is passionate about building new leaders, working with startups, and helping organizations reach their full potential .Dr. Magee studied at Valencia College, the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Sampere Institute of Languages in Spain, and Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. She holds an undergraduate degree in Spanish, a master’s degree in Special Education, and a Doctoral Degree in Organizational Leadership. During her time at UCF, Dr. Magee was an active student who chartered two organizations: The Caribbean Student Association and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Lambda Mu Chapter. Both organizations continue to thrive at UCF.

Dr. Magee resides in Ocoee, FL with her husband Michael, and their children, Alexandria and Macaire. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, watching tennis matches, and listening to audiobooks.
