
Dr. Adrienne Bland serves as a School Leadership Coach for Instructional Empowerment. She partners with school leaders to transform schools into extraordinary centers of teaching and learning. With a background as both a district and school leader, she dedicated her public school career to empowering PK-12 students in marginalized communities. Dr. Bland holds a doctorate in literacy, focusing on the correlation between vocabulary and the academic success of Black male students.
Her extensive instructional experience includes Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, Principal of the Year and she led a school to the Distinction status as measured by the state department. As someone committed to learning, Dr. Bland was selected for the Deeper Learning Leadership Forum and the Public Education Leadership Program at Harvard University. Notably, she successfully established two STEM schools in Ferguson, Missouri, both of which have been recognized as Best Schools by U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Bland believes a student’s zip code is the start to greatness.
