Cristina Smith began her service as the principal of Warfield Elementary in 2019. Prior to this role, she held the position of assistant principal at Pinewood Elementary School, during which time she was recognized as Martin County School District’s Assistant Principal of the Year. Cristina earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Cristina is a graduate of the National Institute for School Leadership and is certified in School Management and Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the Harvard Business School.
