Ms. Lorah Neville began teaching middle school with a degree in Elementary Education. She earned her Masters in Educational Leadership then served as a K-5 assistant principal and K-6 principal. Ms. Neville went on to serve as a K-12 Director of Curriculum and K-8 Executive Director for curriculum, assessment, technology, special education as well as principal supervisor. In her last position before retiring, Ms. Neville served as a K-8 Superintendent.
Through her many roles, Ms. Neville delivered professional development, was responsible for school improvement planning and implementation, as well as evaluation of support staff, teachers, instructional coaches, site and district administrators. Ms. Neville also planned and facilitated school and district-based improvement and change efforts K-12.
Ms. Neville has 10+ years experience implementing all of the Marzano evaluation models and serves as a professional developer and coach in the models to school and district leaders across the country.
Ms. Neville has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses as well as supervised teaching practicum students in the field. Additionally, Ms. Neville has served as an adjunct faculty member at Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University working with international visiting principals, teachers and pre-service teachers at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Ms. Neville believes every student can and should learn and knows that it takes great teachers and leaders to make it happen. She remains committed to realizing that vision through professional development and coaching.
Most recently, she presented a session at the Building Expertise 2023 National Conference for teachers and leaders. Furthermore, Ms. Neville stays active in her community as chair of the Desert Sounds Board of Directors and as a volunteer with the Kyrene School Community Foundation.
