This session will describe one district’s evolution on how to enhance the instructional experiences for young students while still delighting in the beauty that is inherent in young children. There is no better place for rigorous instruction to start than in schools dedicated to early childhood. The Early Learning Centers in MSD Lawrence Township, Indianapolis IN are home to over 1300 young learners ages 3-6.Young children are naturally curious, social, determined, unencumbered by fear, and generally ready to take on the world by 5 a.m. When you have 4 schools in one district that are full of this energy and educators that are excited to help them grow, you have schools that are ready to soar with impactful, rigorous instruction.
